Another busy week at school but another project done. I was given an assignment to shoot a pair of shoes over a month ago. Why shoes? This seemed so boring. Needless to say, I was a little stressed with this one. I was wanting my shoes to be unique and hopefully different than others in the product lighting class.
After searching and a lot of thinking, I decided to make my own. I purchased a plain, nude colored stiletto and hoped my crafty side would not fail me. With a whole month of messing with them, they finally came together. Honestly, they turned out better than I had expected.
The things I have learned over the past year still amaze me. Manipulating light and teaching it to play nice are huge when trying to create a nice photo. Are my shoes perfect? No. But, if I was asked a year ago to do this same assignment, I may as well have photographed a pair of crappy shoes. They would have been crap.
I hope you enjoy my photo and I am sorry if you are now craving a sundae.
